To Be Successful and To Rule The World

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth" (Genesis 1:27-28 KJV).

After reading this part of Genesis, I came to realize that God blessed humans and commanded them to be successful, to reproduce, to make the world a better place, and to rule the world. It amazed me that God blessed humans from the very beginning, and gave them the power to be successful and to rule the world. Not bad for the fate of humans.

You may ask, "If we are blessed by God and have the power to be successful and to rule the world, why is our life so miserable?" The answer is that we don't always claim God's blessings and the ability to be successful and to rule the world. To claim these things, we need to visualize ourselves as already having them!

Visualization creates changes in the spiritual world (world of imagination). And changes in the spiritual world eventually create changes in the physical world. The spiritual world causes the physical world.

If we don't claim God's blessings and the ability to be successful and to rule the world via visualization, then we don't receive these things. Gifts from God almost always are received first in the spiritual world, then later appear in the physical world.

Regarding ruling the world, I'm talking about having control over your world rather than ruling other people's world. I'm talking about controlling your corner of the universe and not the entire universe itself. That's success!

God, Affirmations, and Mental Images

"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear" (Hebrews 11:3 KJV).

After reading this Bible verse, I came to realize the power of words. God literally spoke the universe into existence. And since we are created in God's image, we also have this power to some extent.

Affirmations are commands we make to reality. Affirmations can change reality, if they are made strongly and with emotion. But more importantly, affirmations must produce mental images to have real power.

What determines the power of affirmations is the extent affirmations produce mental images. Conversely, what determines the power of mental images is the extent mental images produce affirmations.

You may ask, "Which is stronger, affirmations or mental images?" The answer is mental images are extensions of effective affirmations, and affirmations are extensions of effective mental images. They are both almost one and the same.

So when God spoke the universe into existence, God had mental images of the universe before it came into existence.

The Unpardonable Sin, Holy Spirit, and God

"And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come" (Matthew 12:31-32 NIV).

Reading this Bible passage reminds me of my teenage years when I began reading the Bible. During this time, I remember saying to myself, "Christianity is a great life philosophy, if it wasn't for the unpardonable sin." The unpardonable sin caused me great concern.

When I first read about the unpardonable sin in the New International Version of the Bible, I interpreted the unpardonable sin as speaking or thinking negatively about the Holy Spirit. And I believed that speaking or thinking negatively about the Holy Spirit guaranteed the doer of this act an eternity in hell.

Looking back at this event, my interpretation of the unpardonable sin seems rather silly. My interpretation is silly if you think about it rationally.

Ask yourself the following questions: "Why would an all-powerful, all-knowing, and omnipresent God forgive humans of mass murder, serial rape, torture, burning down villages, inciting riots, and so forth, if humans merely repent -- but not forgive humans for calling the Holy Spirit a bad name? Why would an otherwise good person burn in hell for merely calling the Holy Spirit a bad name, whereas someone who committed mass murder on the level of Adolf Hitler could be forgiven and enter heaven?"

According to my past interpretation of the unpardonable sin, mass murder is okay, but name-calling isn't. According to my past interpretation, God is insane and unjust.

Pondering this, my past interpretation of the unpardonable sin must be wrong. And it is.

As I got older, I talked with pastors and read many theological writings regarding the unpardonable sin. My research led me to one conclusion.

To commit the unpardonable sin, you must permanently turn your back on God or more specifically on God's active power the Holy Spirit. By permanently turning your back on God, you cannot receive God's forgiveness for any sins that you may have committed. By permanently turning your back on God, you cannot receive any guidance or wisdom from God. He cannot help you at all. You are forever lost. This puts you in a hopeless situation. This is the unpardonable sin.

The unpardonable sin is NOT name-calling!

Prayer is Imagination

"Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV).

After affirming this Bible verse, I realize the importance of using prayer throughout the day, instead of just several minutes in the morning. The more I use prayer, the more powerful the results. Therefore, I should spend my day wearing my prayer, just as I do my clothes.

When I use prayer, I am communicating with God. I begin communicating with words that eventually transform into imagination. And this imagination transforms into reality.

Given this, the key to successful prayer is imagination, since imagination creates reality. Imagination is the essence of prayer.

I use my imagination to envision how I would like to be, and wear this imagination as I do my clothes. This will inevitably cause me to become the person that exists in my imagination.

Thinking and Doing Murder

"You have heard that it was said to our ancestors, Do not murder, and whoever murders will be subject to judgment. But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Fool!' will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But whoever says, 'You moron!' will be subject to hellfire" (Matthew 5:21-22 HCSB).

After reading this Bible passage, I realize that thinking and doing are intimately related. Thinking often leads to doing, and doing often leads to thinking. For example, consistently focused thinking about doing murder leads to doing murder. And doing murder leads to more thoughts on doing murder.

Thinking and doing are so tightly related that they are practically equivalent. If you want something done, merely think it. And if you want to think about something, merely do it. Doing is an extension of thinking. And thinking is an extension of doing. They are practically the same thing.

Thinking is the genie in the bottle. Thinking is omnipotent. If you want something done, merely think it. If your thinking is consistently intense enough, whatever you think will be done.
